Do you want to the the kind of boss that people respect and are motivated to work with? Of course you do! But how do you actually set yourself up as the kind of boss who is effective in their role and successful in the work? This 2 part workshop series will lay the groundwork you how to be a good boss and an effective leader in your organization.

Part 1 - Workshop 1 (May 16th) will focus on the social dynamics we face as the boss. Specifically, we will dig into the importance of social intelligence and practice skills needed to raise our self-awareness and empathy as ‘the boss’. In studying our own leadership styles, we’ll figure out how that influences our team dynamics. We’ll also study + think through how to build positive team cultures.

Part 2 - Workshop 2 (May 23rd) will focus on effective communication skills. Specifically, we will dig into understanding and practicing the skills of direct communication and feedback. We will also study and gain skills in how to productively manage conflict between people on our team and ourselves.  

You don’t have to attend both workshops, but we strongly encourage you to.

Who should attend: This workshop is designed for people who are either new to managing a team or for those who already have some experience managing people but are looking for new approaches to be effective in their role. That said, if you’re trying to position yourself into a people manager role, this workshops can help you be more strategic in developing the skills you need for the job you want.

Your trainer for this workshop series is Hannah Dubin, Principal + Founder at The Group Forward. Hannah has been a 'Boss' in many jobs and is fired up to share what the research + her experience has taught her about being good at it.
