State-Wide Health Care Conference

THE CLIENT

The New  Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (NJAAP) is a mission‑driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing the health, safety, and well‑being of children.

They deliver essential professional education, clinical guidance, and policy advocacy to ensure that pediatricians—whether in private practice or hospital settings—are supported in delivering optimal care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults

PROJECT SCOPE

NJAAP was organizing a summit on early relational health for health care professionals across the state of New Jersey. They knew they wanted a morning of information sharing and the afternoon to be an action-oriented discussion to drive the group to future actions and possibilities in the field. They were looking for a consulting group to help them design the experience flow of the day and the workshops in the afternoon.

3 Ways We Moved NJAAP Forward

  • 1. Idea Catcher

We designed a thoughtful reflective tool asset for the participants to listen to the speakers and catch their best ideas they didn’t want to forget. We used this tool as a way to build conversation and networking to be more meaningful for the participants at the summit.

  • 2. Cross-Functional Round Table Breakouts

We intentionally mixed up the professionals in the room to network and work together around what future actions could look like. We drove the groups to generate ideas and then narrow on the best, most specifically helpful tools and strategies for the field to move forward.

  • 3. Visual Learning

We worked with a visual practitioner to capture the best ideas from the speakers and panels. We then used these visuals to help draw out key actions and next steps for the participants.

“The Group Forward helped us structure our summit gathering in a very meaningful way. They were hands-on in the planning process and incredible team-players during the day of coordination and facilitation.”
