Quarterly Executive Team Off-Sites
THE CLIENT
ThreeFlow is a benefits placement software company transforming how brokers and carriers work together.
Its platform connects U.S.-based insurance carriers, brokers, and employer organizations using a unified benefits placement system designed for U.S. healthcare and voluntary benefits. By connecting both sides of the placement process in a shared system, ThreeFlow helps teams collaborate more effectively, make smarter decisions, and deliver better results for clients.
PROJECT SCOPE
ThreeFlow’s Executive team needed their in-person off-site strategy sessions to drive results for the business. They knew they needed to clarify goals for the year, build new processes to move fast, and commit to decisions.
3 Ways We Moved ThreeFlow’s Executive Team Forward
-
1. Committed to New Ways of Working
The team needed to name the behaviors that weren’t driving results in their meetings and communication. We “named it” and quickly got to the root of the communication norms that weren’t serving us. We built new norms that worked and committed to ways of working that help the team move faster.
-
2. Thoughtful Pre-Work
We had the team engage in a series of pre-work assignments that helped us hit the ground running when we came together for our 2-day off-site. The team showed up dialed in and ready to pull their sleeves up and get to work together.
-
3. Solving Meaningful Challenges Together
We ran a series of small group and large group discussions that resulted in prioritization exercises and confident decision-making for the path forward.
“When we engaged with The Group Forward we set out to add more structure, intentionality, and productivity to our team meetings and off-sites without adding ukulele strumming or trust falls. We set out to add norms that drove healthy team communication without sanding the edges off the individuals that make our team so special.
Hannah’s disarming style and dogged ability to identify the root cause pays dividends in the sessions she designs. It’s not luck, she has taken the time to understand our business and it shows. Stop reading this and hire Hannah.”
