Ashley Smallwood has 20 years of experience as a facilitator, design thinker, educator, and strategist committed to advancing equity through collaboration.

Ashley has led projects for organizations across multiple sectors, including technology, legal services, non-profit, consumer goods, and more. Her background is a mix of corporate strategy at not-for-profit work, granting her a wide perspective on what makes organizations and teams work well together.
She honed her partnership and consulting skills at IDEO and Clear USA, managed teams and strategy as Head of Creative at fast-growing startup Tough Mudder, created and taught curriculum as founding 7th grade English Teacher at Girls Prep Bronx Middle School, and built and managed a reimagined career center at TC NEXT at Teachers College.
Ashley is committed to her personal anti-racism practice and has received training in inclusive and liberatory design and leadership from Equity X Design and Starting Bloc. She has a BA in English and Art History from Georgetown University and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. She lives in the greater London area with her partner and rambunctious toddler.
